One day a man decided to go to a flea market. While he was looking he saw an old SNES and a Super Mario World cartridge, he bought it on a whim. He decides to get home and starts to play it. However, the game isn't as he remembers. The color palate is completely off and there is absolutely no music. All of the ? blocks are already hit, and there are no enemies at all. Mario is completely alone. As the game progresses things get more creepier and more demented, it gets more disturbing. The moving platforms no longer move at a constant speed, the water in the water level has stopped flowing and become stagnant, and the lava in the first castle has cooled down and solidified.

The end of the castle is when he realized that this isn't just a glitched ROM. When he got where Iggy Koopa is supposed to be, the princess is dead and nailed to the wall. It is made clear that she blames Mario. The only way to exit this level is to jump into a pit, and over the course of the game you go through a nightmare version of Dinosaur Land, and it is revealed over time that Mario died in the fall, all of his friends are dead, Bowser is dead, and it's all his fault.

After attempting to go through the whole game, he is compelled to dump the ROM and upload it to the internet. He commits suicide shortly after he uploads it. However, when he uploaded it, the rom corrupted and it only went to World 3-2.
